Customer PortalPolyamide Nylon Compounds
Nylon synthetic polymers are composed of polyamides and can be mixed with a variety of additives to achieve many different variations.
Celanese is a global leader in the engineered materials business and features a wide selection of nylon compound products to meet your needs.
What is nylon polymer?
Composed of amino groups, nylon polymer is a polyamide polymer. Nylon was the first commercially used synthetic thermoplastic polymer. Nylons are condensation polymers or copolymers formed by reacting monomers containing equal parts of amine and carboxylic acid.
Chemical Name: Polyamide PA Compounds
Delivery Form: Pellets
Nylon Polymer Uses:
Zytel® range of polyamides delivers solutions around the globe and across a broad spectrum of end-use industries. Zytel® polyamide resins deliver high-performance benefits ranging from stiffness to heat resistance.
The Zytel® LCPA line includes one of the industry’s widest arrays of innovative, renewably sourced (RS) materials. The RSLC grades are partially or entirely derived from non-food biomass. They provide performance properties that enable companies to reduce the use of fossil fuels in polymer feedstock, even in demanding applications.
More broadly, the nylon/polyamide product line contributes to sustainability by enabling OEMs and Tiers to design lighter-weight and longer-lasting products compared to alternatives such as metal or other lower performance polymer materials.
