Film, Cast
Cast film is produced by extruding a wide, thin layer of molten plastic through a flat die and then onto a chilled roller. The rollers are often highly polished to produce films with very high clarity. This process is used to produce stretch/cling films, personal care films, and multi-layer films. These films can be embossed or have other surface treatments.
